Vote for Detention Room 13 – Now at Gritnova Film Festival!
I’m thrilled to share that my short film Detention Room 13 is officially part of the Gritnova International Film Festival!
This project means a lot to me, it was intense to shoot, full of creative challenges, and deeply collaborative. The story came together in a surprising, slightly unsettling way (as it should).
Two students, Joel and Marie, are stuck in detention for stealing exam papers. They think it’s just another boring morning, until a third student walks in and drops a chilling story: years ago, a girl died mysteriously in this very school.
After she’s gone, Marie starts recounting the story of Agathe, a quiet student who was relentlessly bullied and eventually locked inside Detention Room 13, where she was later found dead under unclear circumstances.
But the real twist comes when Joël realizes that he has seen this girl around the detention room all morning.
This isn’t just detention. It’s a haunting.
If you’ve followed my work or are curious to support independent short films, I’d be honored if you’d take a second to vote for it.
Your support really counts — and helps give these stories a life beyond the classroom. Thank you for watching, sharing, and being part of the journey.
